Hannah was careful to ‘cut no corners’ during the production of ABC Success and therefore looked at how evidence of impact could be measured in the event of an Ofsted inspection.

During the content creation phase of production Hannah mapped every aspect of ABC Success around Ofsted’s Oustanding framework. Participating schools are provided with a copy of this mapping for use in their SEF.

It doesn’t stop there! Hannah is constantly updating ABC to help schools stay up to date with the ever changing world of education. Ofsted’s most recent ‘hot potato’ appears to be the Fundamental British Values which schools are expected to focus on and be able to show how their work with pupils is effective in embedding the fundamental British values.

Hannah is happy to send enquiring and participating schools both mapping exercises for their reference only.

ABC has been revised and mapped around fundamental British values and now hits all five including:

  • Democracy
  • The Rule of Law
  • Individual Liberty
  • Mutual Respect
  • Tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs

So how did ABC prevail in one school’s recent Ofsted inspection?

Richard Rose Morton Academy in Carlisle launched ABC Success in September 2014; they were inspected just days after launch. Upon presenting inspectors with ABC Success here is what Ofsted had to say in their report:

“The school has a comprehensive programme which explores British Values in their own context.”
