Q: If you weren’t a speaker, what do you think you’d be?

I’ve always had a big mouth. Boy could I talk, even before I became a speaker. I’ve learned how to do in in a constructive way that’s all.

Q: What was your favourite subject in school and why?

Biology. From the moment I was born, I’ve had a sense of wonder about living things.

Q: If you could change one thing you did as a young person, what would it be?

I was the most pompous, self-opinionated, obnoxious git on the planet and I wondered why no-one liked me. Things got a whole lot better when started being nice to people. It’s not what would I change. I did and it made all the difference.
